How to Reach the LocationIf you want a simple route to get there without overthinking it, follow this path: Start by opening your world map and locating the large Tokyo City region. It sits in the northeast portion of the game world and covers most of the dense urban gameplay area. From there: - Drive toward the western side of Tokyo City
- Stay within the downtown street grid instead of heading toward the docks
- Avoid drifting too far south-east where highways lead out of the city
- Once you’re in the correct zone, start scanning the skyline
At this point, the tower becomes easy to spot. You don’t need a waypoint once you’re close enough—just look upward and follow the skyline until the structure comes into view.
Completing the Photo ChallengeOnce you’ve reached Tokyo Tower, completing the challenge is straightforward. - Pull your car up near the base of the tower or stop on a nearby intersection with a clear view
- Open Photo Mode (D-pad Up)
- Frame your shot so the tower is clearly visible behind your car
- Take the photo to register it in your Discover Japan progression
The game usually accepts multiple angles as long as the tower is clearly identifiable in the shot, so you don’t need a perfect composition.
